Last weekend I had friends from Sydney in town so we went to the LACMA and visited the Tim Burton exhibition.
In order to be prepared for the day’s activities – which also included visiting the La Brea Tar Pits – I wore my Gold Tress flip flops and felt stylish and comfortable in my flats. To keep the feminine feel I fashioned a cute Betsey Johnson ensemble; a colorful printed jersey dress with a short cropped velvet hoodie with lace puff sleeves. Even if you are comfortable you can still look like a fashionista!
The Tim Burton exhibition is amazing, almost overwhelming. There is so much of his fabulous work on display. I saw the exhibition for the first time in NYC at the MOMA and knew my friends would love to experience his eccentricity and talent first hand. It did not disappoint!
I love the lamp posts in the forecourt of the LACMA. They provide depth and perspective to the grounds of the museum. Simple and clever. Lots of people were taking photos by the lamp posts so I thought that should be my Blog post picture too.
It is always inspiring to be amongst art and creativity. It is a wonderful way to get inspired and use it to influence my work with YOU by crocs.
It was my first time at the LACMA and the La Brea Tar Pits and I am always fascinated to discover new parts of LA I am unfamiliar with.
After the museum we went to Pink’s Hotdog stand and I watched my friends eat the famous dogs! I am a vegetarian, so not my cup of tea!
Keep discovering new and interesting places, people and things!
Cheers and have a great week.
Always smiling
Samantha
