Regional Field Marketing Specialist/Coordinator

The position is at the forefront of analyzing and executing Crocs’ field marketing efforts within our wholesale accounts.  The candidate will be dually responsible for the analysis and summarization of data captured on a weekly basis along with Crocs in-market representation in the CO/UT/WY/NM market.

The Denver Field Marketing Specialist will be expected to travel 50% of the time locally and regionally visiting wholesale accounts.  Office hours are flexible and can be worked around travel requirements.

Field Marketing Responsibilities:

The Regional Field Marketing Representative will be responsible for maintaining the brand integrity in the retail marketing place. The team will be strategically located in key crocs markets (see market opportunities) and will do whatever it takes to ensure the brand’s success within the region.

The Field Marketing Rep’s Responsibilities will include:

  • Brand ambassador in the market
    • Representative of all things crocs
  • Keeper of the brand integrity in the market
    • Maintain visual merchandising presence in key crocs accounts
    • Keep visual presentation tidy at retail locations within region
  • Inventory monitor
    • Count and fill where appropriate to maintain stock levels
  • Sales associate coach
    • Conduct technical clinics to educate sales associates regarding crocs product technologies and brand initiatives. 
    • Supply educational posters and materials for staff back office areas
  • Seasonal Campaign Manager
    • Deliver brand “story” (e.g. signage, etc.) at store level
      • Manage transition from one season to the next
  • Regional marketing manager
    • Execute product marketing initiatives
    • Product seeding
    • Regional marketing initiatives (e.g. grass roots events, etc.)

 In-Office Responsibilities:

Specifically for the Denver candidate, project management duties will be assigned.

  • Responsibilities
  • o Create and analyze reports detailing Crocs Field Marketing Programs
  • o Evaluate and communicate ongoing trends, missed opportunities, and high priority items
  • o Place and track orders to Field Merchandisers and wholesale accounts
  • o Meet timely required reporting deadlines
  • o Periodic travel to attend client sponsored special events, or to cover other market areas as needed
  • o Ethical person able to work with minimum supervision
  • o Influence others to share enthusiasm for both the company and the product line

 Skills and Requirements

  • Basic knowledge and interest in the footwear/fashion industry
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Professional image and approach to business
  • Retail sales or retail management is a plus
  • Quick learner who is self motivated
  • Reliable transportation with valid state driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Computer skills required:
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills a must (i.e. experienced at sorting data, creating pivot tables, and creating charts/graphs)
    • Intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint skills preferred
    • Microsoft Outlook email proficient
  • BA/BS Degree with 3+ Years experience managing all or a large portion of the above job description. The viable candidate will have managed the above process for a leading brand (preferably a footwear, apparel or consumer goods manufacturer), retailer or comparable business, and will have an understanding of brand management and retail consumer behavior.
